Indivisible and Antonio are going to Mexico!

Dear Friends,

I am so excited to share that Antonio recently received approval from the U.S. Government to travel to Mexico. Indivisible will accompany him on his journey and film as he reunites with his family. He has not seen his parents in three years and his brother in more than a decade.

Antonio will also finally be able to say goodbye to his grandparents, who lovingly raised him while his parents traveled throughout Mexico and the U.S. in search of work. They passed away several years ago, but Antonio could not attend their funerals due to his undocumented status.

While in Mexico, Antonio will speak at local schools about his experiences as a leader in the immigrant youth movement in the U.S.

Over the past several months, Indivisible has filmed Renata in Boston, MA; Antonio in Queens, NY; and Evelyn in Altamonte Springs, FL. Scenes of the three working, studying, and relaxing with friends will provide Indivisible's audience with a unique glimpse into their lives.

In addition to filming, I have been editing scenes and applying for grants to help with post-production costs. I also am working with Renata, Antonio, and Evelyn to develop an outreach strategy. Our goal is to hold screenings across the country where you can see the film and meet these three incredible Dreamers in person!

Antonio and I leave for Mexico on August 9 and we look forward to sharing photos and stories when we return in a few weeks.
